How To Use PowerPoint Program For Creating GIFs

Nowadays, GIFs are even more popular than common words. They pop up in text messages, e-mails and even online courses. Many people include GIFs in their presentations in order to make them more alive and add interesting visual effects. This is also a great way to engage your target audience because most GIFs are funny and people love good humor. In order to create your own GIF you do not have to be a technology guru. The only thing you will need is a presentation software, such as a well-known PowerPoint.

Here is the manual how to make your own GIF in PowerPoint:
  • Start with opening a blank PowerPoint presentation.

  • Remove title page boxes.

  • Use the tool “Rectangle” in order to make a new box. In fact, this is a future shape of your new GIF. You need to adjust the size and dimension depending on how your GIF is going to look like.

  • Now, you will have to change the color of your background, pressing “Shape Fill”.

  • In order to modify the color of your shape outline, you have to press “Shape Outline”.

  • Now you have your GIF form where a text/image can be inserted as the first part.

  • Look at the left-hand panel, right-click on PowerPoint slide and choose the option “Duplicate Slide”.

  • In the second PowerPoint slide you have to enter the second part of text/image.

  • Just repeat the previous step with as many PowerPoint slides in order to complete the sentence of your GIF which will be animated by PowerPoint program.

  • Once your GIF sentence is complete, you have to press “File” > “Save As” and choose a proper location for your PowerPoint file.

  • Press “Save as type” and choose “GIF Graphics Interchange Format” for your file.

  • Press “Save” and choose “All slides” while being prompted.

  • Now, you will need to go to gifmaker.me.

  • Press the button “Upload Images” and place your previously file. All images will have to be selected.

  • At this point, you will need to adjust the size and the speed of your GIF.

  • Finally press “Create Now” and do not forget to download your stunning GIF.
